NICK+JAMES have been mirroring and reflecting one another in dance since 2008. They’ve performed together on streets and stages all over L.A., and at Pieter. They design their dances, costumes, and sets.
Lake (2012) was a union of minds and hearts, and Tender Heart (2013) was the dissolution of two expressive bodies. Tara Jane O’Neil made music for both dances, and an earlier iteration was with Odeya Nini and Archie Carey. We got to perform Lake in San Francisco with Archie by the curation of our friend, Dr. Doran George.
Brink (2019) is the third dance by NICK+JAMES.
