inner pieces of each cape were individually dyed by Ashley Thayer. the colors turned out so beautiful! each cape had it’s own special feeling, it was it’s own being. one rainy day in the studio a client tried on all of the maybe 8 capes I had at the time and we created a story for each one based on the feeling of being inside garment. I think we made a total of 30 capes, some were long, some were short and the buttons were handmade by Jess Tucker Mayeux. this project was 2013 – 2015. all pieces now sold. full silk.
